Kimberley
The Kimberley is a region of great contrasts and is one of Australia’s last frontiers. This vast untouched coastline offers spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife and pristine waterways. The Kimberley covering more than 420, 000 square kilometres, is one of the world’s great wilderness areas, remote and rugged, but breathtakingly beautiful, with jagged mountain ranges, spectacular gorges, beautiful waterfalls, serene billabongs, and ancient rock art galleries and wild uninhabited wilderness. The Kimberley is one of Australia’s most important regions for Aboriginal rock art. Along its coastline, pristine beaches fringe the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Explore mangrove creeks, waterfalls and inland reefs. With some 300 species of birds, it’s a prime bird watching destination.
